2 Corinthians 1:9-10 – “Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.”

Psalm 85:6 – “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you...”

Psalm 71:19-21 – “Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.”

Psalms 145:1-17

A few facts about the greatness of God.

  • 1. God is exalted as king above all other kings – (vs. 1-2)
  • 2. God is so great that His greatness goes beyond our understanding. (vs. 3-6)
  • 3. God’s attributes tell us what kind of God He is and how He deals with people. (vs. 7-9)
  • 4.God is over all because He made everything! (vs. 10-13)

Vs. 10-12 – your saints will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your Kingdom.

John 3:27 – “a man can receive only what is given him from heaven.”

“He must become greater and I must become less.”

  • 5.God is tender and locked into the needs of His people. (vs. 14-17)
  • 6. God is near to all who call upon Him.
  • 7.God watches over all who love Him.

Psalm 145:21 – “My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.”
