John 12:24 – “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

“Living comes by dying; gaining comes by losing. His call was not to come and grow, but to come and die. He calls us first not to a platform, but to an altar.” J.D. Greear

Joshua 3:5 – “Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

Isaiah 42:8 – "I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another.”

Revival - “Awakening, stimulating the life, bringing it to the surface again.”

Habakkuk 3:2 – “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”

“The Holy Spirit is the power of revival. There is no revival without the free moving of the Spirit of God. The Spirit first begins to move within the heart of the individual. As He finds liberty in individuals He can then create the qualities which lead to real revival. It is natural, then, that most immediate & obvious of changes occur in the personal life.” Jack Taylor

Group Questions:

Q1: What is one thing you are grateful for at West Ridge? Why is that important to you?

Read John 12:24

Q2: Max Lucado said, “God does not exist to make much of us, we exist to make much of him”. And J.D Greer wrote, “Living comes by dying; gaining comes by losing. His call was not to come and grow, but to come and die. He calls us first not to a platform, but to an altar.” In your opinion, what do you think it really means to “die to self” and why is it so important?

Read John 14:12

Q3: We have been entrusted with the “work” Christ did while he was here on earth! For that reason, our church has tried to be more concerned about “sending capacity” than “seating capacity”. In your opinion, what are some of the differences between a church that cares more about filling it’s own seats than sending out people to carry on the work of Jesus?

Read Habakkuk 3:2 and Psalm 103:1-5

Q4: What difference do you think it would make in our church if our people truly saw, believed and trusted in the deeds (benefits, blessings) that God offers us? Explain your thoughts.

Q5: “The Holy Spirit is the power of revival. There is no revival without the free moving of the Spirit of God. The Spirit first begins to move within the heart of the individual. As He finds liberty in individuals He can then create the qualities which lead to real revival. It is natural, then, that most immediate & obvious of changes occur in the personal life.” (Jack Taylor) What difference do you think your group can make in the church and in the community if we truly ran after God with all our hearts?

End your group praying for our church. Ask God for revival in your heart, your group, all our groups, throughout our church and in our community!
