God Will Not Give You More Than You Can Handle

Section 1

I Corinthians 10:13 - “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Romans 8:28 - “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

John 9:2-3 - “‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ Jesus answered, ‘It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.’”

John 9:7 - “‘Go,’ He told him, ‘wash in the Pool of Siloam’ (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.”

Job 13:15 - “Though He slay me, I will hope in Him.”

Jeremiah 17:5-10 - “Cursed is the strong one who depends on mere humans, who thinks he can make it on muscle alone and sets God aside as dead weight. He’s like a tumbleweed on the prairie, out of touch with the good earth. He lives rootless and aimless in a land where nothing grows. But blessed is the man who trusts me, God, the woman who sticks with God. They’re like trees replanted in Eden, putting down roots near the rivers—Never a worry through the hottest of summers, never dropping a leaf, Serene and calm through droughts, bearing fresh fruit every season. The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.”

Genesis 50:19-20 - “But Joseph said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for am I in God's place. As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.’”

What was meant for evil, God has meant for good.

Psalm 139:8-10 - “If I ascend to heaven, You are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,’ even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You.”

John 1:16 - “And from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”
